Le son crade, les rythmiques étouffantes et les claviers qui hurlent, c'est lui.
Ok, Alan Vega chante comme un possédé, mais le visionnaire de Suicide c'est Martin Rev.

Son premier album, sorti en 1980 sur Lust/Unlust Music (qui a aussi sorti ce chef d'œuvre) est poignant, beaucoup plus calme et mélancolique que les disques de Suicide.

Ce morceau en particulier est beau à pleurer.

Le très très bon blog modyfier a posté il y a quelques jours ce morceau de Paul Frick qui m'obsède totalement. Un pote de Paul Frick raconte, en parlant par dessus sa musique, comment il a samplé Guillaume et les Coutu-Dumonts, Akufen, Janis Joplin, ... et construit le morceau à partir de tous ces samples petit à petit :

"Ca c'est les drums de Guillaume et Les Coutu-Dumonts, elles défoncent.
Et ce clap je l'ai trouvé ce dans un vieux Antislash.
Ah, et ca c'est la voix de ma pote. Je l'ai repitchée.
Et vous connaissez Akufen? Le charley de son morceau est mortel. Le voila."

Une sorte de mode d'emploi du morceau, en toute humilité, "do it yourself" - tout le monde peut le faire.

Un autre morceau qui m'obsède pas mal en ce moment c'est le remix de Petar Dundov par Gavin Russom, le barbu de DFA qui construit des synthés analogiques dans son garage de Brouquelinne. Toujours le même style élégiaque et apocalyptique que dans son chef d'œuvre "The Days of Mars" avec Delia Gonzalez. Pour info, Relevee, la musique parfaite pour la drogue dure.
